It is fantasy football playoff time.  No time to get cute or chase the points.  Now is the time to find out who is going to help you win.  And here are five quarterbacks that will help you in your fantasy football playoffs.

Keep in mind, it is not time to get too cute.  If you have Peyton Manning or Aaron Rodgers of course you are not going to sit them, regardless.  These are for those of you who held two quarterbacks of equal or near equal productivity.

Colin Kaepernick needs more of this

5. Colin Kaepernick, San Francisco 49ers v Oakland Raiders

In case you didn’t see, last week the Oakland Raiders allowed Shaun Hill and the St. Louis Rams to put up 52 points on them.  Hill passed for 183 yards and two touchdowns.  Hill also rushed for one touchdown.

Now Kaepernick hasn’t done you any favors so far this year in fantasy football, so he owes you.  But more than that he owes his teammates and Niners Nation some semblance of productivity.  This is the game and defense that should allow that to happen.

4. Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions v Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Stafford has quality wide receivers.  And speaking of the obvious, he has figured it out.  With Golden Tate and Calvin Johnson ready, healthy and able Stafford’s fantasy stats are on the rise.

Last week Stafford passed for 390 yards and two touchdowns against the Chicago Bears.  The Bears defense is ranked 20th in the NFL.  The Buccaneers defense is ranked 19th.  Stafford is currently ranked fourth among fantasy football quarterbacks according to CBS fantasy rankings.  Do the math.  Good enough.

3. Jay Cutler, Chicago Bears v Dallas Cowboys

I know it is really hard to like, trust, play, believe in Cutler.  But if you aren’t a Bears fan you have to know that Cutler is fantasy stable.  Last week Cutler was fantasy stable with 19 points.  The Cowboys have allowed at least 22 fantasy points to quarterbacks in their last three games.

You may not like him, but you may have to play him.

2. Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks v Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles allow the fourth most fantasy points to quarterbacks.  Wilson is no ordinary quarterback.  Wilson has started to pass and run.  You know he will be doing both during this game.

Look for Wilson to be the quarterback who brings you a fantasy win.

1. Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys v Chicago Bears

There have been many a valid excuse for Romo’s lackluster performance on Thanksgiving.

Now he is playing the Bears.  The Bears passing defense is very generous to opposing offenses.  The Bears have given up 27 passing touchdowns to quarterbacks this season.  They have also allowed over 270 passing yards per game.

Romo has rested.  The Cowboys are good on the road.  The Bears aren’t so good.
